ADAMS STREET RECONSTRUCTION

Updated 3/26/2013

Due to the snowfall we have had, the contractor will not be on site the rest of the week. That being said, with no work being performed this week I have decided to hold off on the closure until Friday, March 29th. They will begin installing detour signs and construction signs in the morning, and depending on ground conditions they should have them installed by late morning. Once the detour signs are installed, they will then place barricades on Adams Street closing the road to all traffic.

The closure date for Phase I of the project has been scheduled for March 25, 2013. The Contractor’s schedule reflects having Phase I back opening to traffic on approximately July 22, 2013. Phase I will have a closure from S.R. 124 to south of Western Ave. between the two Peyton’s entrances. The south Peyton entrance will remain open to traffic with the ability to access Adams Street south of this drive. Pre-warning signs are scheduled to be installed on Adams Street on March 18, 2013 stating road closure on or after March 25, 2013. Barricades and closure signage are scheduled to be installed on March 25, 2013 for Phase I.

Phase II of the project is scheduled to take place from approximately July 30, 2013 to October 7, 2013. Phase II of the project will be from just north of Peyton’s south drive down to C.R. 200 S. One-way traffic will be maintained while constructing Phase II. The previously constructed Phase I will be fully open to traffic while constructing Phase II.

Phase III of the project is scheduled to take place from approximately October 7, 2013 to November 18, 2013. Phase III of the project will consist of closing the railroad tracks on Adams Street, and no through traffic at the railroad crossing will be permitted during this closure.

We will continue to update everyone as work progresses or schedules change. We appreciate all of your help and patience during this project.
