Students must have completed Kindergarten to participate in the activities unless otherwise noted. Grades are determined by what year the students just completed. No programs on the 4th of July. 

Learn To Swim at the Wells Community Pool

Swim Lessons Grades K-12 Registration
Early swim lessons set a positive foundation towards a lifetime of participation and enjoyment in and under the water. Swim registration will take place at the City Hall from 10:30am -12:30pm Saturday May 12th. Class lessons for Children who have finished Kindergarten and up are held Monday through Friday June 11-22, OR July 9-20 for a total of 10 lessons. Class times are either 10-10:50am or 11-11:50am. Cost is $5.50 county residents, $11 out of county (due at registration).  Diving Lessons will only be offered in July at 10am for strong swimmers.

Toddler Swim Lessons ages 4-pre K Registration
Early swimming fosters a growing sense of self-esteem, confidence and independence. As a child’s ability to freely move through the water increases so does their sense of well-being. Registration will be held at City Hall from 10:30 am – 12:30pm on Saturday May 12th.  Cost is $5.50 county residents, $11 out of county (due at registration)  Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate. Lessons are M-W-F the week of June 25th from 11-11:45 am.

Progressive Swim Courses
Level 1 through Level 7. Swimmers will advance according to ability. Upon completion of one level, students will be moved to the next level.
Level 1: Water Exploration
Level 2: Primary Skills
Level 3: Stroke Readiness
Level 4: Stroke Development
Level 5: Stroke Refinement
Level 6: Proficiency
Level 7: Advanced Skills

Diving:  Must pass swim test

Watch the City's website for Bus or Program Cancellations. Bus service is available, and students must be pre-registered. We do offer drop off at the Boys and Girls Club after both swim lessons.

Free Tennis Lessons
Classes are held at Washington Park, Monday thru Friday from June 11 - July 20.  Register on the first day of lessons.

Summer Kids's Camp 1/2 days for K - 3rd

This two week camp is for students finishing Kindergarten - 3rd grade.  Choose either June 11-22 or July 19-20 from 9am to noon.  Children will enjoy tennis, snack, free play and a swim lesson. Cost is $30 per student and pre-registration is required by calling 82-6069.  Space is limited.
