Volunteers R Us is designed to help you find a great place to volunteer. Bluffton has a several people who would like to do some volunteer work, but aren't sure who to call. June Grove has a put together a program that will assist the organizations needing volunteers and those looking to volunteer. If you would like to volunteer for something, even if it's just once a month or so, please contact the organization below or call June at 260.824.3570.

Wells County Historical Society

Volunteers needed to help with yard work, general maintenance, host for Sundays and special events. Volunteers are asked to be a member of the Historical Society. The Historical society needs a volunteer maintenance man to lift heavy items, have some carpenter skills and be dependable.
Wells County Boys and Girls Club

The Club keeps busy with many programs and special events all year long. Volunteers are needed to help assist the children in educational needs and during special events.
Friends of the Library

The Friends always need help with their programs, which include people to help with book sales, someone to organize volunteers and people willing to supply refreshments for library programs.
Creative Arts Center of Wells County

Volunteers for the CAC include gallery attendants, instructors/assistants, bulk mail stuffers, event set up and clean up, poster distribution, event welcome staff and web listing data entry.
Volunteers should have friendly people skills, desk work skills, organizational skills, and basic computer skills.

Bluffton Parks Department offers programs for the community from toddlers to seniors. Volunteers are needed for Bingo Callers, painting, park clean up, assistance with programs, painting/design props and office help. No special training needed - just the desire to help regardless of your age or the time you can give.

Family Centered Services offers parenting, mentoring and youth programs for newborn to older adults. Teen volunteers are needed for Teen Court, Youth as Resources and Host Home/Safe Place. Adult volunteers are needed to work at The Closet. The organization trains all volunteers.

Safe Place/Host Homes

Host homes are safe, nurturing, temporary alternatives to institutions or foster homes. Adult and youth volunteers are needed. All volunteers will be trained. Also, donations are accepted for clothing and personal hygiene items.
Wells County Genealogy Society

The Genealogy Society members research and preserve family and historic records. Volunteers are needed to mow neglected cemeteries. You will need your own mower but gasoline will be provided. Also need proof readers for the deed project, this entails going to the courthouse to proofread information gathered for the everyone deed index.
Wells County Health Services Foundation - Bargain Hut

The foundation gives monies to organizations that provide health related services as well as scholarships for health related/medical fields of study. The need for volunteers is for able bodies to lift, unload bins and storing of donated articles. Any able bodies person would be welcome to the staff to help sort donated items and sell in store goods. Volunteers will be given a one hour on site training sessions and pay $5 yearly dues fee.
River Terrace Estates
